The Basic Rules of Three Card Poker
It is always a good thing to go beyond the ordinary. Trying something new can make people smarter and knowledgeable about certain things which they once barely knew. With regards to poker, there are lots of things that are worthy to be tried. Of course Texas Holdem and the Omaha Hi/Lo poker are very good games but it would really be nice to try other exciting poker variations such as three card poker.
The basic rules of the three card poker game are really simple. All ii really takes is proper concentration and excellent execution of strategies for players to win this wonderful game. The major components of this game are the ante and play, and the pairplus bets. These two are what causes the excitement and thrill in this very game.
Players should put their so-called ante bets prior being dealt with the cards. Once they have seen their cards, players will have the option of either folding or raising their bets. Once they fold, they will immediately lose their ante bets. But if they decided to raise, they would put another amount equal to the ante bet they placed before the cards were dealt. Players would be declared winners if their hands are higher than the dealer's hands. In that case, the players will be awarded for their ante and play bets. However, if it's the other way around, the players will all lose their ante and play bets to the dealer.
With regards to the pairplus bets, there are corresponding values waiting for every poker hand that players can create. Here lies another importance of the poker hand rankings in this game. The lowest possible poker hand that players can get is the ace high or less. It is also referred to as the high card poker hand. Players have not created any card combination in this situation. This card combination has no match with all the other poker hands that can be formed.
The second to the lowest poker hand is the pair. Sometimes this card combination can be high especially if all the other players were not able to create any combinations from their cards. This is a pretty decent poker hand for players to have. Next in the poker hand rankings is the straight. Unlike the Texas Holdem poker, this game only needs a total of three succeeding cards to form a straight. So it is somehow easier to create than the usual five-card straight.
The three-of-a-kind card combination is a pretty solid poker hand in three card poker. If players form this card combination, they would probably win the game. The only other poker hand that can beat this card combination is the straight flush. In this poker hand, all it takes is to have three cards arranged in sequential order all under the same suit.
Once players get to know by heart the different poker hand rankings as well as the different betting systems in this game, they can now start playing the very wonderful and exciting three card poker game. Try it to believe. This game is guaranteed to bring players a very fast-paced and non-stop poker fun.
