Players who get such card combination have a pretty fair chance of winning. On the other hand, these players also have a fair chance of losing the game. So it is just right to say that this card combination is decent enough in order for players to survive any particular round. The probability of getting a pair is 16.94 percent.

Next in line in the hand rankings is a flush. This card combination consists of three cards all having the same suit. An example of a flush is the cards J, 6, and A that are all clubs. Another is the cards Q, K, and 4 which are all diamonds. All in all, there are a total of 1,096 possible combinations that can form a flush. The probability of getting a flush is 4.96 percent.

The three highest possible poker hands in three card poker are the straight, three-of-a-kind, and straight flush. A straight is made up of three cards of whatever suit that can be arranged in sequential order. This poker hand has a probability of 3.26 percent. Meanwhile, a three-of-a-kind is made up of three cards all having the same value. The probability of having this poker hand is 0.24 percent. On the other hand, a straight flush is made up of three cards all under the same suit and can be arranged in sequential order. The probability of getting this poker hand is very low at 0.22 percent.
